Born and reared in Central Texas, Billy Perkins is one of the most talented and prolific poster artists working in Austin today. Although some fifteen years younger than the artists of Armadillo World Headquarters, he spent time there as a child and carries on their tradition of combining disparate and entertaining images to promote concerts about town.

Using bold color combinations and positioning images to take best advantage of negative space, Perkins employs fast cars, trucks, fantasy figures, and beautiful women to projecting an aura of "bad"...and perhaps a little dangerous. Walking on the wild side is way more fun than playing it safe, and Billy doesn't play it safe--with his artwork or his music. Yes, he's in a band too--Butcherwhite, a loud metal-edged rock band that has quite a following around River City!
